Prices
The price of a translation depends not only upon the length of the text, but also upon the degree of difficulty and the required research time. An indication of the appropriate payment for translation services is provided in Art. 11 of the German Court Payment Act (JVEG; Justizvergütungs- und Entschädigungsgesetz).
After looking through the text to be translated, I will be happy to send you an estimate.
In Germany, translations of continuous texts are usually invoiced on the basis of the standard line. One standard line comprises 50 or 55 characters. Calculations are based on the target text. Research and proofreading are already included in the price quoted.
Other text formats (such as presentations or tables) are invoiced per slide, hour or entry.
The price for certified translations (e. g. of deeds) is based on the translation and research work, the formatting work for copying the layout (including all stamps and seals, letterheads, signatures etc.) and the expenses for printing, stapling, signing and stamping the translation.
If you wish to receive an estimate based upon the number of words, please do not hesitate to ask.
I offer a favourable price to students for proofreading their papers and theses.
You are welcome to use the enquiry form to receive an estimate.
